OUR GUIDES
Each of us is an independent contractor living in or adjacent to historic Orange County, Virginia. For a brief sketch of the vast scope of the history scan the opening segment of our Tour Offerings page. We collaborate under the Tourguide umbrella to publicize our services, to expand our knowledge of tour routes and presentations, and to assist each other in multiple guide situations. Each guide, however, negotiates his/her own, personal service agreements with their tour clients.

Phil Audibert. (Pronounce “OH-de-BEAR”). Phil is an author, (Local Folks-Sketches of Orange County Personalities), a professional musician (two traditional Irish bands), and freelance photographer-writer. In the past Phil has been a beef farmer, a ski instructor (Level II), a B&B operator, an editor, and a radio news director. Many of those occupations were pursued both simultaneously and in the Orange County area. Educated both stateside and abroad, Phil brings a breadth of knowledge, a gift of expression, and a love of this region to his presentations.

Frank Walker. Frank was born and raised on a family dairy farm in neighboring Madison County. He ran the farm for 19 years before closing it down and going to law school. He then practiced law in Orange, Virginia, until 1994, when he retired to found Tourguide, Ltd. (He is the bearded person on the Tourguide brochures.) Frank is the author of Remembering: A History of Orange County, Virginia; a member of numerous heritage organizations; and a regular volunteer at Montpelier, the Orange County Historical Society, and the county Department of Tourism. Failing eyesight is forcing Frank to curtail his tour assignments, but he continues to book all appearances and speaking engagements for which he is available.
